TwistedQuarter nintendo joysticks - short throw?
« on: May 29, 2016, 07:49:21 pm »
I am looking to make a DK mame cab, but not willing to spend a ton on original hardware. I don't need it to be an exact replica.

Anyways, has anyone purchased the nintendo replacement joysticks from Twisted Quarter? If so, then does the joystick have the short throw similar to the original? The joystick throw is the most important to me, so I might fork over the 40 for a real one if this isn't anything like it. Link is below.

Thanks, but that doesn't help. There is no info about that joystick or an alternate Nintendo replacement with a short throw.

Unfortunately, I haven't used that TwistedQuarter one that I know of. But, I was curious where you can get DK joysticks for $40? The good repros are $79 (https://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=TKGU-23-50)

I was referring to cleaned up used joysticks. I am having trouble finding the link, but there was a popular site referred to quite a bit here. It was some guy who sells used parts as he gets them and the nintendo joysticks were 40.

Edit: Found it. They have a few now, but there were better ones in good condition, and were about 40 when they pop up.
