Looking for Neo Geo Dimensions
« on: April 04, 2016, 06:38:55 pm »
I am looking to create a cabinet that is a replica of the neo geo "big red" cabinet. (either model MVS-1-25, MVS-2-25, or MVS 4-25 (ver 1.)) I have searched the forum for previous posts on dimensions for these cabinets, but the posts made are from over 10 years ago and the images are no longer there and the links are dead. If anyone would be generous enough to measure their cab or provide dimensions that would be great!

Couple of options. Not accurate to the millimetre, but probably good enough.

The one on jakobud.com is the wrong version (ver 3 is not the best looking one)
I started using the sketchup models but it is difficult to get measurements off of them since the edges are curved.
There are some threads where people have posted the versions I am looking for, but as I said the links are dead.

I get it ... I was the one who provided those measurements using my MVS-2-25 (clearly the best looking of the Big Reds!).

Sadly my PM Outbox only goes back to 2006, so you are S-o-L.

I think that the options I gave you are the best you are likely to get, given that nobody else has been willing to measure an MVS cab in the 11 years since I did it, despite repeated requests on multiple forums.

I appreciate the help, thanks a lot. Hopefully I can find something somewhere

I can try to do it this weekend. I have to pull out my HS5 to measure for Jdurg anyway.

This is the cab I have, if its what you want measured:

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
