Golden tee update USB stick question

So I have two USB sticks and chips to update golden tee. I’ve updated mine with these sticks but I had 2015 and updated it to 2017 and then 2018 but I’m not sure if they will work on a 2016 machine or not or can they be used regardless of the year. Cause on the sticks it doesn’t specify 2016. Can someone confirm this? Reason is I’m trying to sell the update but I don’t want to give false info the person I’m selling it too. Thanks in advance
