Atari Star Wars Cockpit with a 25 inch monitor
« on: February 11, 2016, 06:25:19 pm »
I just picked up an Atari Star Wars cockpit cabinet. It still has the original 25" monitor in it. I've read it's the "holy grail" find. I would love to keep.it in, but the board is missing. I've looked online and I'm not having much luck. I did find the game board set from Chattanooga Pinball. The cabinet looks great. It  has been in storage for a long time. Ive heard that you could use the 19" WG board on ot but i dont know much about it , or if it works. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I will post a few pics later.

Holy crap, that side art is gorgeous!  Is the other side in as good condition?

I have to laugh at myself for taking on an impossible task. I did find a stand up version in non working order with the steering yoke and all of the boards in it. Hopefully I can salvage some parts from it. But this doesn't solve my monitor problem. I had to have it shipped from texas to michigan, it should arrive  next week. The search continues.....

You're gonna scavenge parts off that stand up for the cockpit?  Not sure how I feel about that.  Not my call though.  If you decide to start fencing parts off the stand up, please let us know.

It's is a pretty nice cabinet.  I was planning on keeping it for a future project. But I would be willing to part with it if someone wanted to restore it.

How much for the stripped upright to include marquee, CP, and shroud?  Don't need the yoke.

I should be able to use the hv and deflection boards from the stand up. It is supposed to have all of the boards in tact. The power supply is good because the marquee lights up. I wont know until it is delivered. Today I tried to test the power supply in the cockpit. Not getting any readings on the multimeter. Going to try to replace to fuses. Do the power supplies on these typically go bad?

The board set came in today. Do I need the filter board? What does it do? Do I have to find one?

I put everything back together, check all of the connections and this is what I'm getting now. A small green or blue line. I can adjust it in and out of focus. Any ideas?

Being from Michigan I would have no problem taking this off of your hands if you decide to part with it.
