Here are some pics of the room shown in the video above.  The spider halogen light is pretty cool.  I think the blacks lights and carpet are a little gimmicky and the effect is not dramatic.  Neon lights are a must!

That's a nice 'arcade' sign. Get it.

Those LED signs are way cool.

Since neon keeps coming up....
I had a fairly large red neon sign (maybe 8x1ft) in my basement and over time came to dislike it.
It was cool to have a neon sign at first, but myself and others found it bothersome to be facing it while having a conversation.
People avoided gathering near it.
Not sure if it was the brightness or an imperceptible flicker, but something about it became annoying.

I'll see if I can find a pic.

That's interesting. I don't like the glare from lights while I'm looking in a monitor. Washes out the display, and eventually I get a headache. So they have to be diffused and away.

I agree.  That's why I put them on a different switch so I can turn them off separately!  Also when you are playing a lightgun game the neon cause tracking problems

So, I picked up this beut on CL today. Just happened to be close by. They sent him the wrong sign so they told him to keep it and they sent a new one. So I picked it up for cheap.

Genuine neon sign made of glass.
