High Score Competition Rules and Scoreboard

Game Name: Maniac Square

Settings:
Timer 60 Seconds

Controls:
Joystick: 8 Way
Buttons: 1 (Rotate)

Description: Maniac Square is a puzzle game where you eliminate squares by completing three or more squares lined up vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. One button is used to rotate the falling squares. The star cube is a wild card. Each round, a set number of lines must be completed before the timer runs out or you reach the top. The game ends after you complete 491+ lines.

Last day: Sunday, Jan 10th 2016 midnight Pacific

Here's a few tips.

Try to complete combinations (see image below)
The pink completes 1 vertical line
The yellow completes 1 vertical and 1 diagonal line
The yellow squares disappear and the red square falls to complete 1 horizontal line.

Rotate the squares fast and position them, then pull the joystick down.

If you have one line left to end a round and get a combination, you will have fewer lines to complete the next round.

The game actually ends after 491 lines. Because of a combination, my high score is 492. I will not be competing in this competition. Have fun!

Fun little game. Terrible music. The best I can muster so far is 70. If I break 100 I'll post a pic for the official scores.

I am REALLY good at this game....when i extensively use the pause button.

EDIT: thought about this later, and realized it sounded bad. I scored in the 130 range using the pause button. The 100 was standard play. sorry for any confusion.
