Well, I ordered the rest of the buttons etc. and have been working hard on the software side of things.  Apparently getting bezels to work in RocketLauncher is a huge pain in the butt for me.  While I've been doing that my wife decided to build a full scale model of the pedestal out of cardboard.  I figured I'd post some pictures on here to get opinions!

I've been doing some research on speakers and wanted to check to see if this combo will work and will be easy for a noob to get setup.  From what I've seen this amp seems like it would be a good one.  I am also looking at the following speakers:

http://www.amazon.com/PYLE-PRO-PDMR5-Performance-Midrange-Driver/dp/B0002EHOCQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452722964&sr=8-1&keywords=pyle+pro+car+speakers
http://www.amazon.com/PYLE-PRO-PDMW6-Performance-Mid-Bass-Woofer/dp/B00079LOTU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1452722964&sr=8-3&keywords=pyle+pro+car+speakers
http://www.amazon.com/JVC-CS-J620-2-Way-Coaxial-Speakers/dp/B00LMGE9JY/ref=sr_1_5?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1452722888&sr=1-5&keywords=car+speakers
http://www.amazon.com/Systems-CH6530-Series-6-5-Inch-Speaker/dp/B000J1FABY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

If anyone has any thoughts or tips that would be great as I really have little knowledge about working with audio.  From what I've been able to gather I would wire the speakers to the amp and then plug that into the computer while plugging the amp into the smart strip for power.  I'm pretty sure none of these are shielded speakers, but I haven't had much luck finding any that are.  However, being a pedestal that may not matter in the long run anyway.

Also, in case anyone is interested I have started a thread over in the project announcement forum as we are getting prepped to start building!
