strange chd problem
« on: September 16, 2015, 08:44:32 pm »
i have a strange issue not 100 percent groovymame related but only happens using groovymame. here is the problem, i have groovymame 165 crtemudriver all working fantastic. took my rom folder and grovvy mame to my friends house, set up crtemudriver on his d9400 no problems then i copied grovvymame to his mame folder with the ini double checked the directory setting(roms ect) and started the frontend gameex updated roms and everything looks fantastic and seemed to be working but he tried area 51 and any varient of it like area51/maximun force and it wont run, also carnevil wouldnt, so he tried mameuifx pointed it to the roms and they work fine in that, tried grovymame with the commend line and it reports it cant find the chd files? i have no idea what else could be wrong. the roms are there and we checked the .ini again and everything looks fine help! could something be left over in the mamefolder thats messing up groovymame finding the files
thanks for any ideas

A complete guess but try extracting the normal mame 165 binary zip file inside his mame dir. Overwriting the existing files except mame.exe and mame.INI
