I'm really surprised nobody has suggested this yet but what about pinball?

If it were me, I'd be pretty embarrassed to have the  all the brosefs over just to have them disappointed that pinball ain't on your mega-cab.

I dunno...if it was me and I spending this kind of money, I'd throw a plunger on the beech and a couple side buttons. Can't hurt and it's really easy to do. Plus you have a better chance of getting into the HOF thread here.

Also, you really should be documenting your build in greater detail. It would really help us n00bs that are going to want to do the same build.

And I like the idea of a trackball. But should I also have a spinner for each player?

You need AT LEAST 3 spinner, 3 player Rampart is the BEST!
What are you going to do for racing pedals?

In all seriousness, was Ivan Stewart's Super Off-Road not a staple of anyone else's youth?
I don't like hardly any of the spinner games, but if I ever add a spinner...each player is getting one.

Oops, forgot the LED joysticks and the sideart - I'm theming it after two of my favorite TV characters growing up.

You need art. Find pictures of street fighter characters from at least 3 separate games, the dinos from bubble bobble, Sonic the Hedgehog, and your favorite band/sports team/movie logos. Top it off with a big MAME logo and Call it MameCade. If you prefer, Opt2Not will draw everything by hand for you for $50.

Next step is to get a 10 terrabyte hard drive and download every game ever made. Hyperspin will make it all run. You will have ultimates machine and friends will play, but only if you have cool carpet and ninja turtle bedsheets.

True, because when you think arcade consoles, lenny and squiggy are the first thing to come in mind. I think christmas lenny and squiggy might be more appropriate. Beacuse this machine is like an amazing present

Testify!

You think I can pay someone to write me an Autohotkey script so that every time you insert a coin, it says "Haaaaalloooo" like Squiggy did? That would be awesome.

I prefer apples. Mind you, that guy likes oranges. I can't stand oranges. He must be wrong.

Sift your flour before mixing would be my tip. Else it gets clumpy and bakes rotten.

Did you get your honorary cup holders for your first post on here?  Those would look awesome attached to the four player CP.

I didn't come here for baking tips. That's woman's work.

The mock up looks good. But as malinkoes pointed out, where should I put the pedals? I don't want to stray too far from the original concept, and think the art should blend well with the blue glitter paint. Thoughts?

OK, I'm keeping Lenny and Squiggy for myself, maybe for a Weecade build.

I added the pedals to the front, so that means I have to move the wheel to the front, but that's OK, there's plenty of room to reach over the wheel to use the trackball.

Should I have steering wheels for all players? Mario Kart remember. Or will joysticks be just fine for 4 players racing?

How are you going to play Tron on that?  Afterburner?  I think it's time to rethink this panel.   If only there was a way to octagonaly circle through 8 different panels with different controls.  I use to have some exercise equipment you could mount something like that on.

Just do what I did..

I won an original Star Wars game that I ended up converting to a 80210 in 1 machine.  Painted over the silly Star Wars artwork and made it all black and added official MAME artwork everywhere.   I bought a 4-player Slik Stik and then added more controls on to that.  Now I can play ALL the games.  I just ended up putting the old original Star Wars controller on the free section of Craigslist to come pick it up from my driveway.

Funny it was gone in 5 minutes and I still get calls to see if I still have that controller.  Weird. That was a year ago.

Above and beyond all of this, I'm surprised how well the OP is at spelling, punctuation, AND scentance structure. Because of that and a keen sense of articulation I have no doubt in my mind that this project will be a mild success.

I can't believe you're doing this to a classic!  :timebomb:

I mean, me or nobody else will pay you anything for it or come pick it up, nor do we have space to store it, but it is a sin to modify anything from arcades past!

I demand you store this properly and leave it undisturbed indefinitely!

Well guys, turns out the outlet I plugged it into was live. I tried a different outlet this morning, and it fired right up! However, there is another problem. It only plays one arcade game. :( How do I get it to play all the arcade games? I'm itching to play some Mario Kart on this thing!

Maybe you could get some inspiration from this? With enough buttons you can emulate the steering wheel just fine!

Here's a mockup, bruh. Can't wait to see it in your Mancave!!!

You're not going to have any room to rest your elbows on that thing, its way too narrow.  You're going to be fatigued in 30 seconds.  Add another 22 inches to the front so you can rest your arms.

I can't believe you haven't inquired about getting the coin input and bill accepter working so that credits aren't lost when you exit a game.
Also if you get it up to like 40 or 50 thousand roms, you can get $2,500 out of it on craigslist or ebay.

That monitor needs to rotate for vertical games.

Rotate?! Pffft, that's so pedestrian now. A second monitor mounted vertically on a set of motorized swing arms that comes over the top from behind the cab would be better. Kinda like how dumpster trucks work when they lift one of those big bins.

Nah. The next step will be a unit that rotates the player instead of the screen.

Several other things I realized you dont have, and without them you are destined to fail:

1. Bose 7.1 speakers.  Why run DK at 1080p without proper immersion of sound.
2. Double joysticks for P1 and P2.
3. LEDBlinky back lighting on the wall behind the tv to match button input colors.
4. Lightguns, force feedback?  You should have 2 per player.
