rom loads in mame not mala

Hey everyone I am setting up this new machine . Most everything has gone to plan due to the advice and help from this and a few other forums. Unfortunately I have a issue with mala recognizing a handful of games. I've search around, but I can't seem to find a solution that works.

Running mame 161 with mala 1.74 on windows xp 32bit

Most everything is working fine but there are a few roms that appear and run in mame, but refuse to even display in mala (let alone run). I tried starting over re-installing both programs on another hd and added only the few roms that I wanted to test. I let mala rebuild a new xml file (which I thought could be the issue) and left all of mala's game collection filters unchecked. Roms still will not appear in mala... What am I missing?

if you marked (hidden)Dos window state, Choose ( normal).

Unfortunately that doesn't solve the issue.

You should use the last version of mala 1.820

You could enable logging and edit to try to see where the error is. You can see how can you enable the log in this link Sorry, in spanish).
