Projection TV screen replacement.
« on: April 16, 2005, 02:14:32 am »
I was looking in the phone book for some places i could get a new screen for the projection tv i just picked up, theres not much to them its just 1/8 thick plastic screen of sorts but i couldnt find one, the problem is it has a few scratches here and there. I was thinking of calling sony for a replacement screen , but would they have one for my model tv thats not in production anymore.

Anyway i thought i would get some advise from someone more familar with tv/video.

I suggest posting on the newsgroup sci.electronics.repair since that's where a lot of projection tv techs hang out. I don't do projection tv's. My experience is withcommercial arcade monitors 25" and smaller.

I cant seem to get anyone to respond to this question on another forum, any idea what a screen might cost?

Nope, no idea. I only work on commercial arcade monitors 25" and smaller. No projection tv's at all.
