  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Project: No name yet

So, I've been reading this forum for the past 5 months while I was deployed (Just returned home 21 Jan).  On the 1st of Jan, I ordered what I thought I needed for a 2P "Knievel CP" so that the parts would be at the house when I got there (thank you Ultimarc and GGG).  On Saturday the 24th I began the journey of building an "Arcade Machine".  Today, 2 Feb, it is mostly complete.  Of course, like others, I will still have odds and ends to do but the majority of the build is finished.  It took me about 9 days to get to this point.  It has been my full-time job since I have two weeks off from work for R-n-R.

The cab is a Knievel Evolution/Woody widened for a 32" tv.  I stained it red mahogany so it would match out living room furniture :).  The best part of the build is watching my son and his friend play random games (that aren't Call of Duty).

My only plan of attack was to drink copious amounts of BudLight and wing it.  I succeeded at both.  Myself, my wife, and my son think it has turned out great so far.

Thank you for checking out my project and thank you to everyone that has contributed to this forum.  If not for all you regulars posting your projects, I would have never had a starting point, middle point, and an end point to go off of.  Thank you!

Edit: I'm sorry but I don't know how to rotate the pic :(
