I'm betting this would run advanced mame .106 plus wahcade rather well.

Interesting, and $5 cheaper than the current R-Pi model.  Looking forward to hearing about any experiments as I'm too broke to do it myself.

You can have a twenty core board with a built in six core GPU and 1TB solid state storage for $5 each but without the community support, RasPi will still have more projects.  :-\

It will take time to unseat the RasPi

It just started shipping this month so I'm going to wait for a bit before I order one to play with.

My HP Stream 7 does all that with a quad core processor and it comes with windows 8.1 installed and a free monitor.  For $99.   ::)

I've used 8.1 or a variant of it on small touch screen devices and I think it works well.
but on a real PC i prefer xp or 7 if a windows os is my only choice.
I run Linux as my main os so the mini PC's like rpi & odroid don't really scare me or make me wish I could put windows on them.
