atari lynx and handy issues

hi im trying to get handy to emulate atari lynx and cant get by the rom boot image issue because the one with it is fake and i have the real one but still wont load roms.  if nothing else what is another workable emulator for lynx, thanks

MESS/UME (MAME codebase) run plenty of Lynx games, so there's a fair chance of it working with the ones you want.

You'll need the proper MESS bios roms and MESS software list roms tho.

I have my handy up and running. I don't remember what I did. Just Google the boot image. I might have renamed it.

yeah i tried all weekend and with different lynx bootrom images and other versions/downloads of handy and still get the handy warning about fake images and have to task manage out of it and never get into handy to try to set it up.  i have the image in the handy unzipped folder does it have to go in the folder with roms. the fake image that comes with the download is just in the handy folder and thats where i replace it.  was going to use mednafen because it is able to emulate several other systems i want to set up but just get a black screen so im guessing i need to find other files to put in that folder to get that to run, but will do some more research on that one. thanks
