I broke out the PS eye camera today to do some tests on DeathSmiles and frame_delay with DirectDraw.
Using frame_delay 9 + ddraw with this game does not seem to make any discernable difference compared to using fd 0.
I counted as follows, frame 0 is when the LED lights up. Frame n is when the game has shifted from the left image in the attachment (measure.jpg) to the right one.
frame [0] | frame [1 ... n-1] | frame [n]
input sent | delay | output on screen
so for a value of 4, it means the following
