Rolled on 3 coats of paint and sanded with 400 in between coats.  Gonna wait a few days before smoothing it out.

Well it started to get to cold to paint , so I had to put the project on hold. I'm back now and will continue work on the cabinet tomorrow.

So how are you planning on repainting the artwork? I would love to use paint on my Ms. PAC-Man, but have no idea how to do it properly.

I wonder if someone already does it as a service... I'll have to check into that, thanks.

Maybe as a newbie I bit off more than I could chew. Maybe I shouldn't have went with latex paint. Every little nik and I see primer.  I waited ample time in between coats(Days and for one side months) and sanded lightly. I rly don't think using latex paint was the wise choice. Nothappy with the results. Either way I'm done with this thing. I went ahead and finished painting the base color. Defeated :badmood:

I wired everything back together and used a different psu. The game works fine. IDk if/how different the bootlegged stages are but everything seems to be the same as legit board.

I didn't post before but the Galaga Sold for $375 I think(I forget) So no money lost but for sure time lost.I think I may just sell this ms pacman to someone else. Does $200.00 sound fair?

Good news I did pick up another ms pacman($100 monitor doesn't power on), along with punch out($400 working) and Popeye($100 monitor or video issue idk). I don't plan to keep either ms pacman but punch out is one of the machines on my wanted list.

Sorry to hear about your paint trouble. I am totally jealous that you found a Popeye for so cheap. I have been looking around locally for one, and everybody seems to want $750 or more for one.

Sorry to hear about the Latex paint also. Depending on the brand you got and the temp and humidity the paint may take a while to cure. And when I say a while I am talking MONTHS. I had a wood paneling wall that we painted that would chip/scratch if you just looked at it. The wife and I put a bit of work/time/money into it to make it look good. Then, having it scratch easy really started torking us off.

Talking to a painting professional about it he said that 20 yrs ago this was never an issue. Now with all the damn EPA regs paint is coming out that takes forever to "cure." Long story short, after about 6 months the paint on the wall is rock hard and has stood up to the "kid" test.
