WTB:Cabinet sources in Virginia
« on: December 10, 2003, 01:25:14 pm »
Does anyone know of a source of used cabinets in Virginia or know how I would go about finding one?  What are approximate prices of used standup and cocktail tables in different conditions?   With monitor?

Any other insight is appreciated

Well here in MD I know of a couple of places that sell arcade machines.  There's one guy specifically towards Annapolis that sells some machines for about $100.  Well I bought a non working Pole Position II and a working 10 Yard Fight for $100 each.  The 10 Yard Fight maybe converted to MAME and the Pole Position II I'm fixing.   I've seen him put some on ebay for as cheap as $75 as long as you pickup.  I've also heard of a guy in Baltimore who sells nice empty cabs for about $50.  My lucky neighbor actually got a nice cab from the guy in Baltimore for FREE!  So for a nice cabinet I'd say somewhere between $50-100 is a good price.

I'm located in northern virginia so I would mind knowing the sources of your cabinets.  Locally I called the amusement vendors and the best I could do for a non-working stripped cabinet was 200$.

The one near Annapolis is called Haveco Vending.  He sells some stuff on ebay sometimes under the name havcovendingllc.  You can probably email him from there.

In Montgomery County in Rockville MD., there is Captial Amusement, I've gotten non-stripped cabs from them for 50$.

Sort of on this subject. I'd love to get ahold of a cab to MAME, but I don't even know where to start looking. Do you guys have any general tips for locating one. I'm in Tulsa, Oklahoma in caseanyone knows of a local source, but just in geneneral how would I go about finding one? What do you look under in the phone book? Online search tips?

Thanks

-S

The only other place I know of to look at is the namco used game sales.
