Missile Command trackball mounting plate
« on: May 07, 2014, 06:42:16 pm »
I just had a few of these made. Is this something anyone else can use? I just sent my drawing to the local waterjet place, and they cut them out. They are pretty cheap to have done, but there was a $50 minimum, so they made 4 for that price. I will probably end up selling the 3 extras at some point, but if anyone needs one and can get them cut locally, I can send you the dwg file. I just used round holes for the mounting bolts because square holes are expensive to cut on a waterjet.

Edit: I got a request for the drawing, and it is pretty small, so I am attaching it to this post.

I attached the drawing so feel free to use it if you need one of these. The waterjet place I used will do multiple drawings at one time to help get to the $50 minimum. I didn't need anything else at the moment, which is why I ended up with 3 extra of these instead of something I can use.

I have several 4 inch trackballs.  How much would you charge to 58220?

I could send you my 3 extras for what they cost me plus shipping (Looks like it is about $12.50 for a medium flat rate box), so $50. If you have a waterjet place there, you can probably get 4 made for the same price with the drawing. Either way works for me. I can send you these ones if you don't want to mess with it.

Thanks.  I'll pass for now.

I finally got my trackball mounted, so I can confirm that this plate works great! Hopefully someone will get some made so they can use this giant trackball on a MAME cab. I almost settled for the 3", but I think it was worth the time and money to get this one as well. It definitely feels nothing like the 3" trackballs.
