Just got Immersion FFB!

Hadeys:
Hey all,
Just picked up an Immersion force feedback board on Ebay. I'm pretty excited to give it a shot!  Currently my driving cab has been using the Logitech hack, so would it be necessary to change the 100k pot back to a 5k pot? What is the recommended power supply?  Also, where do you connect the steering pot?

Thanks much,
Daniel

(some comments about the power supply in the last post)

If it's the one I was eyeing on ebay recently, it only has inputs for two axis like the one I already have.
There is a way to wire both pedals together so they can be connected to one axis.
It's been on my to-do list forever to post the diagram, but I haven't got around to testing it out yet and don't want to put info out there until I've confirmed it through testing.

Only having one axis is fine for absolutely everything but Model 2 emulator.
I'm sure there is some kind of workaround.
It's crazy because having both pedals on one axis is the default for most PC games.
Absolute worst case scenario is that you map the gas, and make the brake digital.

Whether it needs a 5k pot or not depends on whether it works off of resistance or voltage.
That is something I never tested.  I won't hurt to give the 100k pot a try.
Being that each pot has 3 wires, it probably works off voltage so there is a good chance the 100k pot will work.

Not sure if this is the best deal(just did a quick search_, but this is the type you're looking for:

You'll need an appliance cord from Amazon, Ebay, or your local home improvement store.
I crimped spade connectors on mine, but you could get by with just stripping the wire and wrapping it around the screw terminals.

Hadeys:
Hey thanks for the information.  Since I have already ripped apart the Logitech wheel and I have it all wire up, I might just keep the pedals running off of that board so I don't have to deal with that issue.  I'll update you on how it goes...

Thanks again for the help!

Howard_Casto:
Is model 2 really picky about the pedals and wheel all being on the same stick?

If not then ppjoy and a ahk script should do it.  Read the combined axis, split the value and pass it to two fake axis.  You could leave it running all the time and it wouldn't hurt anything.  The only down side is you've halved the resolution of your pedals (128 instead of 255) but I don't really think that's going to be noticeable.

Hadeys:
Alright so I acquired the power supply, and everything is wired up great!  Where can I get that UI I keep seeing for it? I downloaded the driver expecting it to be there but had no luck.
