1000 mile run mame
« on: March 13, 2014, 07:25:53 pm »
trying to get mame to run all games with steering wheel controlls/ cabinet.  I have both a 360 optic wheel through optiwiz and
a 270 via A-pac with potentiometer-  mame wont accept controlls for either on this game.  I have looked at actual pictures of the origional game and it has a steering wheel. . . what gives? any ideas?

Here is the manual

Perhaps it will turn things around.

Seems like there is a dip switch for wheel mode.
I do all that stuff even without a Joystick ;)

Correct, there's a switch to select 270° pot or 360° opti wheel. You can see it also in MAME by accessing to the (TAB) menu.

Remember to reload the game after changing the DIP or it will not affect the game  ;)

Start MAME, load the game, hit the TAB key, go to the dipswitch menu, then restart the game.
