Abandoning project: cabinet for sale in Powell, OH

Sorry I haven't been around here in quite a while. Time got away from me. I finished my basement which took forever and the cabinet project got neglected. The structure is complete, but I never got around to getting a PC and actually making the thing work. Now I have a project car and I need money for that, so I think it's time to give up on this guy.





I got as far as wiring everything up, but I have no idea if it actually works.



The control panel has two 8-way sticks with six buttons for each, one 4-way stick, player 1 and player 2 buttons with coin buttons for each, a track ball with two buttons above it, and a Nestle Quick spinner. It also has a mini-Pac interface.

Here's a shot with the completed control panel (ignore the small TV - was for testing purposes, but I never got that far).



Anyway, it would be a nice start for someone looking to hit the ground running. The control panel is removable for easier transport. It could be sanded and repainted if someone wanted a different look.

I have between $400-500 in it, but I would let it go for $250 (the car needs new carpeting).

I'm in Powell, Ohio - a little north of Columbus.

If anyone's interested, just let me know. It's a little bittersweet, but I think it's time to let go and move on.

I am brand new to the forum and looking around for some cheap second hand stuff and happened to stumble upon this. GOSH I wish you were closer to Colorado.  You've done a beautiful job with this.  You have to have 7-10 hours minimum in labor in making it look that nice.  I'd gladly give you full asking price if I had any way for you to get it to me.

Anything can be shipped if your willing to pay for it.  Something that size via an LTL freight company would run about $125-150 (cheaper if you've got connections), plus any fees like liftgate service and such, though those can be avoided if you can find a business with a dock that can help out on both ends.

That's why people are recommending "LTL" (which stands for "Less Than a Truckload") vs. regular courier. This means you pack your machine (likely on a skid), put it on a truck, and it's charged by the amount of space it takes up, rather than weight.
