Concept designs for my 3 swappable panels inside
« on: November 22, 2003, 08:01:26 pm »
These are my initial designs for the 3 swappable panels for the control panel of my upright pac cab. All other art, bezel, marquee, etc, will remain completely stock (from the outside). The CP is already removed and replaced before I'm getting it, so I'm not bastardizing that which wasn't already gone...

Anyway, here they are. Thoughts?

Looks great to me! My only thought would be to add a few more buttons on the joystick CP for some fighters.
Good luck!

in the first picture, those buttons are in the defender layout, right?
And the joystick is in the CENTER.
You won't be able to play defender at ALL with that.  So what's the point?
There is SO a spoon.

No, they're not in the defender layout. I kind of sacrificed defender for this cab. I can only do so much with those little panels. 3 is enough to swap.

The way I arranged the buttons was for ergonomic hand placement, the two on the left hand side are for games like asteroids, or classic one or two button games, should the player want to use their other hand for the joystick.

I should have mentioned that this setup is strictly for old-school, classic games, with the exception of Golden Tee, and not for fighters...
