Upgraded PC HW and OS to Win7, need best way to install XP
« on: October 25, 2016, 12:20:13 pm »
Sorry the Subject is cryptic.
I built my Cab over 10 years ago and have really enjoyed it.
I wanted to update it last winter and installed a new 28" LED monitor and upgraded the old PC HW & OS to run some PC Racing games as well.
The new performance is really good, but I lost the ability to use my favorite (old) Need For Speed games and ForceFeedback steering wheel, since going to Win7.
I did a bunch of searches and did find a couple patches that helped, but didn't completely fix my problems.

I think my best bet is to run them in XP (that worked great!).
My problem is I already installed and configured MAME and Frontend for Win7 and don't want to reformat & re-install for dual boot.
Can I create an XP dualboot after I already installed Win7?   or something else I just saw was a USB-jumpdrive-boot to XP?

Any suggestions?  Thanks so much!

It's most likely the drivers... windows doesn't install force feedback drivers by default.  My wheel is older than dirt and I'm running win 10, so barring some oddball glitch, dual booting should be necessary.  We need to know the make and model of the wheel.
