ipac

Ok I checked out the ipac and it does look like I'll be purchasing one for my cab.  My only question is it looks like it will only support a 4 way joystick or am I wrong will it support an 8 way?  I love games like mortal kombat and street fighter so I want something that's gonna be able to handle an 8 way stick.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

It will handle anything that can be represented as a keystroke.

8ways are the same exact thing as a 4way, but it allows the diagonals to register (ie, 8ways, you can have up and left on at one time.  But on a 4way, only up or left... never at the same time)

To put it a slightly different way,

8-way and 4-way sticks both use 4 switches (Up, Down, Left, Right).  On a 4-way the stick can only close one switch at a time. On an 8-way the stick can close two switches at a time for the diagonals(Up & Left, up & Right, Down & Left, Down & Right).

Real Life.  Still a poor substitute for video games!
