I recently picked up a Titan Bartop from Gameroom Designs Canada, and I gotta say I'm really happy to get another bartop project jump-started with this kit.
This is my unboxing first impressions:
First and foremost, the package arrived unscathed and marked for care. It was delivered fairly quick after Rick informed me he shipped it, especially since I'm in Vancouver and the package had to trek across the country to arrive.
The packaging is tight, secure, and cleanly packed. I didn't feel it rattling around the box when moving, which is important to delivery since the wood is MDF and any sudden jolt can knock it around inside and end up chipping the panels.
One thing I really like about this kit is it comes with a parts-list (omg personalized! he wrote my name specifically for my kit! Hey this might be significant to some but a little personalizing of products feels pretty special to me) full colour pictured instruction manual for assembly, and a little bit of information for when you're finishing off your project.
There's a good 10 pages of full page steps that are pretty straightforward to understand, but if all else fails, Rick included his contact info on the first page, and his communication is excellent btw.
Here's all the packaged panels laid out, as you can see, tightly wrapped and secured.
The wood comes "unfinished" in the sense that it's only wood-cut-panels, and they're t-mold slotted, so you will just have to paint it yourself. But, for those like me will be putting full vinyl artwork on the sides and front, a small priming process could suffice to get the adhesive prints to bond well to the surface, though not completely necessary.
This kit is looking awesome, and you can tell Rick is putting a lot of love into them. For being well built Canadian-made, cheaper shipping, as well multiple cabinet style options, this is really great for those of us who might not have the time or space to build a cabinet out of wood.
I gotta say, Rick you dun gud.
