I have regular arcade parties at my house once a month. They have been suspended for the duration of this pandemic. Hopefully we can get back on track before too long.
Two of the regular families that attend keep telling me they want a multiplayer racer. I said sure, but you need to pony up the dough.
And pony up they did.
I purchased a pair of Indy 500 cabs on KLOV. Fate dropped another pair of cabs in my lap on eBay. These were in Missouri about an hour from where I was being sent for work. I can't argue with fate.

They fit in the Promaster van perfectly.
My arcade room does not have the space for those four cabs. So what is a man to do? Give up? Sell a couple of games?
---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- no. I am doing what any truly insane individual would do. I am converting more living space into arcade space.
Alpha Centuri 2.0 or the Alpha Centuri south wing, whichever you prefer.

So I brought the first pair home from Missouri. They seller was upfront about the P2 monitor not working. He did have a working monitor as part of the deal, but I had to swap them out. So I have three dual res monitors.

Swap out the monitor.

Bam. One working pair.

I got the other pair home and these need some work, but the guy was very up front about it.
The first thing I had to do was get some network cables. This game uses toslink cables. I don't have any laying around so I had to buy some on Amazon.

They are all linked now. Hooray.
P2 on the second pair of cabs is not displaying the game itself. Only the overlay 2D graphics. I am assuming something came loose in transit because it worked when I picked it up. That is the next problem to tackle.
All of the cabs have minor issues that need to be addressed, but that is part of the fun.
Today I am going to lineup the second pair of cabs and put the marquee on top.
I will start a restoration thread once I start fixing problems.
