As mentioned, this thread is going to try to gather information on how to get GroovyMAME and GroovyUME to work on the modified kernel drivers on other distros.  As only Groovy Arcade has SDL and the X.Org driver for ATI cards patched (to my knowledge, I don't know if it's possible to patch it for other distros).  I know not everyone uses GA (as of course we all have our distro preferences), but it would be of benefit to everyone if people could pitch in on how to get these emulators and SwitchRes to correctly work on stuff like, say, Debian, Slackware, SuSE, Fedora, and so on.
It doesn't matter how bad things are, it'll work out in the end.
