Here's my DXDiag info

Glad I didn't get round to buying this one now as I'm on xp64 too.

Do they actually state they support the OS though? I'd assume no modern games officially support it these days.
DeLuSioNal29:
It just states Windows XP, which would lead the consumer to believe that it support all flavors including 32 bit and 64 bit.  Just like Windows 7 would lead the consumer to believe that it works with all versions of Windows 7 (and it does, including 64-bit).  So if anything it's false advertising, which they can be held accountable for in a class action law suit.

Minimum - OS:    Windows XP
Recommended - OS:    Windows Vista, 7

Based on the requirements listed, you probably would have purchased this, no?  It SHOULD work after all.  However, if you bought this game in a store and tried to return it, they would NOT let you since you opened the box.  It's the store policy.  If you argued that it did not work with Windows XP 64 bit, they would show you the side of the box and state that "it says it works" based on the listed minimum system requirements.

Something's wrong here, and it needs to get fixed.

I heard from Capcom again today.  Wow.  Looks like they are really on the case.  I'll update this topic more as I hear from them.

Hello,

For clarification on our end, can you confirm that you have the required amount of hard drive space available for the game and save data? Have you also tried running the program as an administrator? We understand you may have done so already, and we apologize if we have missed that communication. Again thank you for your patience and cooperation as we investigate.

Best Regards,
CAPCOM Customer Support

I hate to burst your optimistic bubble, but no it doesn't.  It looks like they are reading from the typical troubleshooting script.  Until the message mentions save states specifically in a non form-letter format, they are just stalling.
