I'm kicking around the idea to come.  I can't make CAX which is right in my backyard (I'll be in Lincoln, NE ugh that week) but I'd like to go to one of these cons, plus I'd love to see some of your stuff built up and in the flesh.  Add in the bonus of getting to meet Yotsuya....who wouldn't consider that tempting!  ;-)

Front view, you can see the 360 sitting comfortably inside.  Also, plexi is resting on the plexi / control panel shelf.  Notice that little brass colored thing on the bottom left?



Zoomed in...  it's an invisible barrel hinge.  This kit will come with 2 of them.  As well as 2 16-pound-pull neodemium magnet latches that attach the the top of the control panel and control panel shelf... 



And here it is, control panel wired, testing the monitor (not mounted yet, just sitting behind the cabinet).  It's a 24" LED gaming monitor, 2ms refresh...  and it looks awesome in person...

On my previous kits I have rested the plexi on the back of the speaker shelf and the back of the batons for the CP and mounted the monitor in such a way that it applies a slight pressure to hold the plexi in place.

Some of us cut slots into the cabinet sides to fit our plexi. (Only in Canada you say? Pity!)

What if your customer doesn't want plexi?  Then they're stuck with slots running down the sides... hmm...  My slot is hidden behind the control panel.

Don't fret - it's an optional choice as to whether or not the channel is cut.

More progress on the new widescreen.  It's completely playable as is, I just have a few minor details to finish up before Zapcon.  This will be available to play at the convention.

The old widescreen is simply the weecade stratched out. 

The new one is my own design.  It's an inch wider so it can hold a 24" widescreen monitor.  There is more depth available inside to accommodate a fat 360 easily.  The new one also incorporates a CP / plexi shelf to make mounting the plexi easier.  The CP shelf also holds neodemium magnets to keep the CP closed.  The CP opens using a pair of invisible barrel hinges.  Also, the CP is routed for Sanwa controls.
