« on: February 21, 2013, 09:52:34 am »
Ok the problem is with the bg music, just installed a sound card, play a song in mala sounds awful just like when i used the onboard audio -  exit mala  play in wmp or other program spot on even played song in everyday pc again can't fault it. Noticed the default sound card drop down box but its grayed out. I decided to delete mala and restart, nope same issue. can i get mala to register the sound card via the drop down box or even script something in to get a work around. any help plz  ???

ps its mala 1.74 and the sound card is a SB live ct4830 if this helps

Try different card drivers. Seriously, even '98 vintage onboard will sound/perform just fine. If your machine has onboard, use it.

By the way, a more detailed subject line would help - say something like 'default sound card....blows'....or something.....

maybe buy a less crap soundcard/ buy some decent speakers.

ive recently had the problem of stepping on a mobo and knocking out mb/ sound and buying cheap aftermarket soundcards

nothing sounds good in midi!!
