Heads up for anyone considering/going through the KLOV recommendation process.

Received this message from Tomobo earlier tonight.

There was a problem with the script. The DB admin is looking into it.

Purple Tophat went the donation route and was up and posting in no time.

Another member here has been on the recommendation route for over a week while the KLOV Admins try to figure out this problem.

I'll try to remember to update this thread once the process is working again.

Thanks for all your patient assistance, Tombo.

Looks like KLOV's system has been back up and running for a little while now.

Forgot to update here until now.

Hope your upgrade goes smoother than the one I helped with.

Yeah I poked too hard I guess.  >:D Just a temp ban, but I should probably take a break for a while, I find I really only cruise the B/S/T section and cause trouble lately over there.

Thanks again for the help getting me KLOV.  I think it only took you 479 emails and 8 days to get it done.  You were more motivated than I was at the end.

Actually, I only sent 240 of those e-mails.  The rest were Tombo's and your replies.   :laugh2:

My word is my bond.  I couldn't let a database fault make me look like a liar, could I.

I had a similar problem trying to register at KLOV about 2 years ago.  I had tried to email someone to activate my account and finally after SEVERAL attempts over weeks I just forgot about it.  I recently attempted to re-register there again and just paid the Paypal request and I was in no problem.

I wonder how many people just give up over there because they can't get a registered account?  It's a great community and it would be a shame to see people turn away from there because of something like that.

Hi, resurrecting this thread to see if anyone could "recommend" me to the KLOV forum. Apologies for the unsolicited intro, but if there's trouble logging in or creating accounts or access over there, I'm not thrilled about paying for it up front.

I just joined here and over at Joymonkey. I've been restoring cabinets for about 6 months now, and starting to work my way into the community.

My current projects are:
Atari System 1: Roadblasters
Simpsons 4 player
TMNT 4 player
Smash TV
X-Men 6 player

I'll be trying to recreate the 6 player Xmen CPO as well as the Smash TV side art. I also need an edit for TMNT CPO, since my cabinet is "thinner" than a normal cab, with smaller monitor - maybe a 2 player cabinet conversion.

Probably will be posting in the appropriate forums, but have a need for a few wico joysticks, a couple of coin mechanisms, etc.

Anyway, look forward to posting here (and eventually, over there).
