My FIFJ replica cab has more of an "aqua(greenish)-blue" color, it was originally a popeye cab. All the Felix replica cabs I'm seeing have more of a dark blue thing going. Any thoughts on this?

Originally this was going to be a DK cab, so I picked a color that came closest to the original color. I think the Disney cabs were originally DK cabs too.
were the DK cabs a different color than the Popeye cabs? I figured they were all the same color.

Should you be able to hide under flower boxes and not get hit by bricks?

The flowerboxes prevent you from jumping, but you still get hit by bricks. Just like in real life... :P

Flower Baskets !!!

Got some bad news on the shutters, though. In the arcade game shutters (horizontal obstacles) have been replaced with falling stacks of bricks, that you can jump over. I guess that was the reason I had to watch like a million videos of people playing, only to find out there were no shutters... :banghead:

I should have realized it, I saw the guy's video who owns the machine.
And on the attract mode, It showed all the obstacles.
The shutters are not on there.
I would rather have the pile of bricks anyway.
The shutters became kind of annoying on the Android version after awhile.

i've been reading up on this thread for the past week and saw a post about this thread having the most first time posters, so i felt bad and didn't sign up and post. I've been getting into building my first cabinet and its been pretty good progress with all the resources available from all the forums. My only problem is that I've been lost at exactly which title to have going in my living room, I've seen Wreck it Ralph in the theaters and knew it wasn't a "Real" working Arcade title, so i never bothered even trying to find it. When I seen this thread I got excited like a 8 year old the night before Christmas, then i was devastated that it wouldn't be released to the general public. So To make a long story short, What do i have to do to get on board with this project? btw SJaak is a God    :notworthy:

been on the hunt for a DK cab near my area, and I finally found one, im shocked at how great of condition it appears to be in. hopefully going to pick this up soon.

cross your fingers guys, because the price this person is asking for is less than it would be for me to build it from scratch!!

What LeChuck said.

Slydsho, please do not touch that DK cab, unless it is to make repairs or refurbishments.

Yes, please just build your own Felix.  Don't destroy the DK to do it.
Not a good idea.

I have a DK and POPEYE,  It never crossed my mind to mess with them.
Go a route like this instead.

I'm pretty new here and even I think if you buy that cabinet you should just enjoy it the way it is! If you've been searching for a while you know how hard it's getting to find original DK caibnets in such good shape.

I've been doing the math myself a bit, and building from scratch in this case really shouldn't be ridicoulsly more expensive. To convert you'd still need to buy new graphics/vinyl/marquee, build a new CP or modify the current one. You'll need a computer either way for MAME and Fix it Felix, Jr.'s browser version, and an IPAC to encode it.

The only thing you're saving on is wood, t molding, and paint. (and some other small things I suppose)

Once again, new here, so I could be completely wrong!

I had made a suggestion a while back that a mini-game be added where you play Ralph and get to damage the building. Perhaps a bit like the "Rampage" games.

Love the progress Sjaak

I just received two videos from srarcade with gameplay video of the 2 player version and gameplay from level 1 to (almost) 5. All recorded with a tripod at 1080p, so the quality is extremely good. He went over to Disney Quest this weekend to record the videos!

So many thanks to you, srarcade!

Received a lot more video's from srarcade, gameplay levels 1-6,  attract mode, demo mode, instruction, etc

And two long video's of the speaker  ;D, with very clear sound!!!!! This will be a great help in recreating/ripping the sound effects.

He also described in great detail, how Felix is controled with the joysticks and also a lot of other notes on gameplay. A lot of this stuff is already in the new beta version!

Just curious, are you eventually going to replace the music loop during gameplay with the one from the Wreck-it Ralph soundtrack?

Loving the game so far!!! :D

I would pay a pretty penny for someone to implement this game on arcade hardware (Z80, Z180, whatever).  I want a non-PC version of this.

It's running a HP XW8400 PC
Or do you mean a peek inside the actual PC itself ?

He also said he would scan the material inside the packet, On the back of the cabinet.
Hasn't did that either.

I bought the bluray today too, used the points to enter as many times as possible. Can't hurt, right?

I'm also excited for that MonsterFeetTV youtube poster to put up more videos. I'm thinking he's just taking his time posting each one, building suspense, getting as many views as he can. Sounds like he's promoting a podcast too.

I have the 27” Wells D9200 out of the cabinet so I rotated it for some vertical full screen testing.

The game looks and feels awesomely retro. It fits in nicely with Pac-Man and the other vertical arcade classics. Pictures don’t do it justice. On the monitor the game is 22 inches tall.
