Being in the medical field you would think I would have enough sense not to try to work in garage with power tools while medicated with narcotic cough syrup  :tool:. I had a bad case of bronchitis so they gave me codeine cough syrup antibiotics and a steroid dose pack. Well the steroid dose makes you antsy and the cough syrup makes you a little out of it. So I didn't hurt myself but I made multiple mistakes and judgement error. So remember please don't take cough syrup and build arcades :lol. Well anyway everything came out ok in the end. I got my control panel finished. It was a bit of a job top mounting the trackball and joysticks. Here are the pics.

Speaker mounts in top of the cab. A little primitive but will do the trick. Also I had an "uh oh" and drilled all the way through

Here is the cold cathode POS I bought vs fluorescent. I may need another fluorescent fixture if it is not bright enough. One side was brighter so I ripped it out and bought a fluorescent fixture.

Here is the marquee mounted and the brackets painted red. I'm not sure I like that red, may paint black. What do you all think? I'm waiting on my switching power supply. I going to change the buttons over red and blue LEDs. with clear 1 and 2 players buttons I bought some carbon fiber vinyl to put on the inside walls on each side of the monitor. additionally I bought a 4 inch piece black powder coated plate to put on as a kick plate.

Project update
1. I ordered a 50000k pot to extend the wires of the control module of the Logitech  LS21
2. I painted the marquee brackets black instead of red
3. I formatted my computer and installed a lite version of win 7

Well I have been busy. Haven't posted much but it is finally finished. I had some computer issues and some monitor issues. The computer I was going to use wasn't fast enough to play some PC games so I replaced it with my HTPC computer which is a newer AMD with 4g of ram and a new video card. I got a Raspberry PI for my HTPC. I snapped the switch board in half on my 27 in monitor and couldn't get it working so I bought a 32" TV at wallyworld. I added some diamond plate to the front and added some LED's also. My other arcade I used Maximus Arcade, but I decided to use MALA instead. I had a guy on here make me a personalized MALA Background. Well here it is

Really nice cab dude. Artwork really makes it pop.

It's making me rethink the black and white theme on mine!

How's the screen? I'm guessing a 32" widescreen must be giving you close to a 27" 4:3 picture (assuming your not stretching the classics anyway )

Yea that's probably about right. No I don't stretch them it makes them look unrealistic. I use bezels from mame artwork. It fills in the. Void nice. I wish there was a way to put bezels around other emulators besides mame. If anybody knows a way let me know because I couldn't figure out how to do it in mala.
