alrighty, well, since freeplay on my [emulated] star wars is not working even after an F3 reset, i have a problem.  how do i coin the damn thing up?

remember, the control panel has no buttons hacked into it and the yoke is plugged into the gameport.  i am not going to tear a keyboard apart to hack one key either, so what do i do?  i mean start to finish, the whole solution.  some way i can add a button or two.

cheers
dave

Delete the starwars.cfg file from the cfg subdirectory and the starwars.nv file from the nvram subdirectory. (If you don't have one or both of those subdirectories, create them)
Run starwars in Mame.
set the dipswitch to freeplay.

I believe the original reply said you had to restart the game to get the changes to take effect...

exit Mame.
run starwars in Mame.
It should now be on freeplay.
