Hi,
 I am new to Mala so need a little bit of help, I can't seem to get the layouts to come on screen, i have a few from the Mala site that I have DL. Im sure its really easy to do and most people that read this well want to mock me but any help would be great,

Lots of great info on here.  I imagine you are having issues with file and emulators matching up.  I also found just renaming the layouts was not working for me.  So I had to go into mala layout and save as to get the correct name.

I think i had the same problem when i started playing with mala (few days ago) think i unchecked the errr  same name as layout directory check box on the layout menu of mala i can look up the actual wording but i think its the top checkbox at the top of the GUI--> Layout menu
Hit something hard enough it should work, if it dont the result can always be called art :)

oh yeah the other one was that i didnt have an unzipping tool that supported .7z files whish seem to be the "new" zip thingies , thats as technical as i get :)
