New video engine/Startcom plugin Mala rotation issue
« on: November 15, 2012, 02:23:45 pm »
Posting this here in case it's an issue that can be resolved from Loadman's end.

When having Startcom rotate Mala before the game launches, the video starts playing again after mala rotates.
It can be heard playing in the background after the game has launched.

When using the option in Mala to delay the start of the video, I also experienced the MAME window shrinking to a small title bar when the preview video started playing.
This only happened when rotating before the game launch.

Everything works fine if Startcom doesn't rotate Mala until after the game exits, but then I have to see Mala facing the wrong way for a bit before it changes.

This is using Mala v1.745 WIP with either mp4 or AVI videos.

Using an older version of Mala with the old video engine, it does not happen.
(and of course, mp4's don't work in older versions)

EDIT:  reverted to Mala v.174 and still have the issue.  I gues my original testing was flawed.  :-\
