Sound in DOS
« on: April 25, 2002, 10:48:12 am »
Hi,

I've just switched from an old 233mmx machine to a duron 950. Ideally I'd like to continue using DOS, but I'm having a problem getting sound to work.

My previous machine had isa slots so this was not a problem, but my new one doesn't so I'm having to use a PCI soundcard.

I started off with a AvanceLogic ALS4000, sound works in gamelauncher but not in mame, so I decided to go with 'the real thing' and bought a Creative SB PCI (CT48140). When I got it home I discovered it had NO DOS support at all.

Anyone have any good ideas as to what I can do?

Thanks,

Lee
