« on: October 13, 2012, 06:08:38 pm »
I am looking for a video card for a Golden Tee Fore. It is a 3DFX with numbers N2544 on it. This is for a green board. Please let me know if you have one! Thanks!

No, your advice is always good. But your way of expressing it continues to be hilarious.

Well...I have been to Best Buy and Fry's electronics searching for a replacement. The people there just look at me crosseyed when I tell them what it is for. Besides that, they don't have any that will fit. The guy at Frys did bring up an interesting point. He thought that it probably would not work since the drivers would probably be all different. Should I just take the old card to a computer shop and ask them if they have ANY working replacements?

OK. A list would be great. In the meantime...I am getting married on Saturday. Friday we are having a big bash at my place. And I would LOVE to have my GT up and running by then. If anyone has a known working video card that they can ship to me by Friday...let me know! :lol

Once Ed posts the list of cards, you may get a lot middle responses.  In the mean time,  you may contact Jay at www.rotheblog.com to see if he has anything locally.  No idea on pricing so finding one of us here with a spare one may be much cheaper.

hi
this is a small list i pulled from my part's box

1=creative lab's ct7260
2=mic d33005-full part # cn-odk002-69861-660-000d
3=it's gamming part # 2025 rev-1

if u need it by friday order from it's gamming
link here
>http://www.itsgames.com/itsgames/<

there is a simple rule of thumb to follow
if it fit's the slot, it will work in the game..
these board's like 256-512meg of video ram,
i use spare part's house's..after all we are dealing with 10+ year old game's,they usally have what i need..or i scavage from a old winxp box
make sure it work's then stick a fan on it....
!!!!that is what killed your old 1!!!!
and clean out the powersupply fan or better yet replace it
with a new :non-atx: supply
as the most of the green board's used non atx style supply
unless it is a newer style with the atx plug ?

now the rule here is what i stated
your video hook up is off of a riser plug
then u hook to a 15 pin to 15 pin plug to hook back into the board
where it then go's to the jama harness

u can easyly make a 12 volt feed fron the onbaord 4 pin power plug's
1=to the harddrive
1=to the cdrom
tie the video card fan there

Soooo...went to a local shop and picked up an ATI card for $25. I think it is an E117942. No go. Nothing. Luckly, I can return it.
So if I understand you correct, the cards listed in the link above WILL work....but not all cards will. I wish someone had a spare they could let go of! Getting frustrated at this point!

Call the company and ask them what video cards you can use.  Don't make it too difficult.

Crap...It used to boot up fine. I could even play a hole! Now with the old card back in, it doesn't do crap.

Been trying to find a video card and ordered one from the list Ed provided - 1=creative lab's ct7260.

Installed it and get no video at all, even during post.  I tried both switch settings and still nothing.

Any suggestions?
