LEDBlinky, Ultrastik 360, Hyperspin and Sega Model 2 emulator
« on: September 02, 2012, 09:22:09 am »
I have successfully configured the above combo for MAME.  Ms. Pacman plays perfectly now.   :)  However, when I try to use other emulators, like the Sega Model 2 emulator, it stays in 4 way mode.  I have tried adding the roms manually under the emulator section, but am not having any luck.  Here is my hyperspin log.txt

Please turn on the Debug Log and Verbose options (on the Misc Options tab), run HS and the games/roms which are not working as expected, then email me the Debug.ZIP file - I'll take a look at your configuration.

here is my debug.txt.  it looks like it is changing my u360 to 8 way, but i am not getting 8 way controls.  If i do a diag jump towards somebody using a keyboard, it works.  If i try it with the u360, it doesn't.  Is it because i am using xpadder?  I have that set up to map the arrow keys to my U360, i have it entered as an 8 way joystick in xpadder, but am unsure how to map diagonals ??

It looks like blinky is setting the maps correctly. I don't have any experience with xpadder - maybe someone else can help with that.

I disabled xpadder, reconfigured my emulators for my u360s and now 8 way works for everything.  But now i cannot control hyperpin.  Does anybody know of ANY workaround for this that works for all emulators and not just for MAME?  I am using Windows XP Pro 64bit with groovymame.  I know that changing to the 32 bit version of the OS seems to fix this problem, but I do not want to switch.
