Unknown System Error
« on: August 10, 2012, 08:20:38 pm »
After several failed attempts to get MAME to run on my computer, I decided to focus all of my efforts on MaLa. I have been trying to get it fully functional, but every time I try to run a ROM, the error message " Unknown system 'and' " pops up.

I attached a picture of the error message, and any help would be very appreciated.

How might I go about checking ROM compatibility? I am currently running MAME 0.146, if that helps at all.

run mame from the command line http://mamedev.org/devwiki/index.php/FAQ:Running

If you have the wrong rom version, you will get error messages that say what is missing, or if you are missing a parent rom, CHD, etc.

Well, after turning off my computer overnight, the error appears to have disappeared. Sometimes I think MAME gets enjoyment out of seeing me suffer...
