Where can I find latest Mame32 for a TV?
« on: May 18, 2002, 10:52:37 am »
???

Hi,

I have bougth a 27 inch TV yesterday  :)
but I have tied to play games like
PacMan and picture that I see on the TV
is very small...

I have tried Advanced Mame but it tells me that my S3
video chip is not supported...  :-[ (it say unknow chip ID 12e1)

I was looking for Mame32 (strech mame but the only version that I have found is V.55 and it do not seem to work with my Svideo out of my Laptop running XP)

The Svideo out cannot go further 640x480 32bit.

The Laptop uses the following chipset S3 Savage IX IBM.

Can someone can suggest me a modified Mame that can work with my Pc and my TV?

thanks

Im sure your build is very good, but it's not necessary to get a fullscreen display... if your using windows just make sure that hardware stretching is turned on in the config file.  Also if you let mame pick your res for you, sometimes it'll screw things up....

That seems odd, most (I thought all) svid outs support 1024*768 maximum.  Perhaps you mean composite out?

At any rate, turn off auto in the resolution settings and set it to the maximum that your tv-out will support.  Now make sure keep aspect ratio is turned on and your all set.  Mame will automatically stretch it as big as it'll go and still say in perspective.

Hope that helps.
