I have SERIOUSLY messed up (I think)

Hi everyone,

I'm really kicking myself right now because I think I've done something so stupid and horrible.

I have been planning a cab build for over a year and finally got to a place where I could make one.  I bought all the parts/tools, etc and began work.  I made the first side, then the second, really taking my time and doing a great job.  I then routed to edges for the T Molding.  I'm using arcadecab.com as a reference for the plans and for whatever reason, had it in my head that routing the sides for a 3/4" t molding edge, I would need a 1/4" slotter.  I have slotted my entire cab with 1/4" a slotter bit.

My questions are:

a.  Am I screwed?
b.  Does 1/4 slotted 3/4 t molding exist and where?

if you are using MDF i would make a MDF sawdust slurry with a construction adhesive, slather it in the groove, let it dry for two days and start all over...

Throw some bondo in there, let it set, and re-route the slot.

You aren't screwed but you do have a challenge now.  I think you'd be the best off if you just took another 2 inches off all around your cab and then re-routed the T-Molding.  If you aren't prepared to make it smaller then you'd have to use Bondo or a filler concoction and after it sets you would then re-route it.

Would be less trouble to recut the sides and do it right.

I'm with this train of thought. Your still at the beginning if your just cutting the sides. Start over and do it properly. Use the wood that you messed up for other parts of the cab. Bottom top, control panel, whatever.

If your damaged sides are how you like them in terms of shape, it would be quite easy to just use them as a template to pattern rout the new sides.  got a 1" flush trim bit for your router?  if you do it precut to near the line so you're only routing off 1/4" or so wood at a time.

Thanks for the replies everyone!  I literally just got done routing the edges down to the non routed bit, then cloned it w/ a flush 1" bit.  Now to buy yet ANOTHER bit (1/16 slot cutters, all of which are like 20 bucks w/ shipping    ).
