Dolphin Blue vs Metal Slug 6
« on: September 10, 2012, 10:53:41 pm »
So I bought an atomiswave the other day and just wondering what the general consensus is about the two of these games. Looking at getting one or the other. Metal slug series has always been pretty sweet so I can't imagine number 6 being a failure but It seems like dolphin blue gets a lot of attention as well.

Whatcha think?

Dolphin Blue plays more like Contra than Metal Slug. I once owned it, but I really didn't like it, the slowdown is ridiculous, even worse than in Metal Slug 2, and it gets really memorizing-heavy later on to avoid cheap deaths. I haven't played the AW version of Slug 6, so I can't really comment on it, but the PS2 version goes on forever. In a boring and chore-like sense.

I'd go for Dolphin Blue of the two though.

well damn that doesn't really get me excited to buy either one of them  :hissy: maybe I'll have to watch some more youtube vids of them and some of the other atomiswave games and see what gets me tingling.
