Has anyone solved this problem yet?  I have seen multiple threads about it on this site and others.

I have 10 buttons in the Keywiz chain of my pinball cab.  My initial plan was to run the first button to the Keywiz A port, the second to B, and so on through J.  I was then going to just remap everything with the software so all the wires are organized and clean in the same order as the buttons.  At first, everything seemed fine.  Every button press shows up in Windows.  I can type in notepad with every single button, the Uploader software just can't find the Keywiz for some reason.  This creates a few problems because:

You can't remap the ESC key in Future Pinball or Visual Pinball.
The 5 and 6 keys can't be changed in the Visual Pinball preferences.

Well, that's not a huge problem, I can just unplug the wire I had in the B slot and move it to the LedWiz slot that supports the Esc key and the same for the 5&6 keys.  It's sloppier than I wanted, but it works.

That leads to another problem.  The LEDWiz doesn't have a port to output the right shift key.  That means that I have to remap the right shift key in all of my applications.  If it is only Hyperpin, Future, and Visual Pinball, again it is just very sloppy, but not that big of a deal.  I do have other games though.  Games that don't allow me to remap the right shift key.  I'm just not playing them now.

I guess at this point, I'm just going to try and be happy with what I have, but if anyone does come up to a solution for this problem, I would really like to know it.

I had a small problem with the upload program timing out and not finding the Keywiz when I put it in my startup file.  I solved the problem by adding a delay program that launches the keywiz program after a short delay.  I think I set the delay for about 3 seconds but YMMD.  I did not have any problems with the keywiz when the program was not in the startup.
