« on: March 16, 2012, 11:55:53 pm »
Has anyone insstalled one of these ultimarck trackballs. i was wondering is it possible to mount it horizontally instead of how they are showing it in the picturei only have 5 inches of mountable space and the track ball size according to picture is 126.5 millimeters = 4.98031496 inches so i should  make it.

I don't know the U trak specifically but other trackballs are sensitive to the mounting position because of the 3 rods they run on you can change 90 degrees because you can change the x and y but it does not always roll well.  I would think if a certain position was up then the x and y depend on it so if you change the orientation by 45 degrees all your axis will be wrong.

I agree with Boba, I don't think that you can rotate it 45 but 90 you can. I had to do some creative carving with my router to make The U-trak fit in the small panel on my Pacman cab.

I had to pass on the U-Trak because it was just slightly too big for me too.  I really wish they had a smaller 2.5" version.
