Best of 2011? I'd say Win/Win or Midnight in Paris. Best action film probably X-Men: First Class, though that last Harry Potter probably gives X-Men a run for its money. Edit . . . forgot to answer about Thor. It was surprisingly not too bad. It wasn't great, but it looked like it was going to be awful and it turned out okay. Actually I think what saved Thor is exactly what Captain America lacked--self-deprecating humor. Neither film hold a candle to the first Iron Man, and even the not-nearly-as-good Iron Man 2 is better than either of them. So is, for that matter, Edward Norton's Hulk. |
