MEH. the game fired up for a second with my new board then PHFT!-- burning smell and it shut down.
So far I've tried everything I can think of--
replaced the coil
switched the opto flipper switches (reversed left and right- no effect negative or positive)
replaced the fliptronic board with a new one.
I may have to call someone in. I can't define where the burning smell is coming from- but it doesn't seem to be the fliptronic board.
EDIT--- I got it all working.
I think that lifting the playfield up and down made something loose. I just re checked all of the major connections and then success. I'm back in business. Sigh.
