Dedicated Hi-Score forum
« on: December 08, 2011, 04:34:59 pm »
Was just thinking, would a dedicated hi-score forum be beneficial?
Some of the other forums I frequent have it (Arcade Otaku, Shmups) where people have threads dedicated to games, with a running hi-score tally.
The threads are left open to contribute a score to, and there is a top 10 (or 20) scores maintained in the first post.

I know we have our regular competitions with chosen games, but what about in the case where you'd like to keep competing at one game. I'm sure a lot of us play our favourite games frequently, but in the spirit of getting better at them, having a constant competition would support this.

I know I'd like to challenge a few previously chosen hi-score competition games that I didn't get to really dive into at the time.

Thoughts?

It's not exactly what you were describing, but this thread is stickied in the Main Forum for beating any previous competition scores or adding new high scores to games that have yet to be part of the competition.

To have a dedicated forum or subforum in which each thread would be for individual games showing the top x number of high scores would be cool. But not that many people even actively participate in the normal competitions either...
