Looking very nice.  What did you use for the marque retainers?

Work top edging strips  ;D

Started fitting hardware now...... i think its just T-mould, marquee light, config of the software and the wiring left! :)

Blue and the white goes really well together. The red t-mould is just there to hold the perspex in place. The final t-mould will be white.

That alien looks so cheeky peeking out from behind the bezel!  Does he know an lcd is going on top soon?!

Absolutely stellar build going on here, look forward to every update.  :applaud:

Plexi back panel would be amazing, with the alien invader illuminated maybe?

Ok started some of the main wiring now. and added some ambient lighting. we're thinking of having a glass/perspex "window" on the rear of the cab... not sure what shape yet tho..... anyway;

Jesus H Christ.

This thing gets more and more ridiculous.  Nice to see someone rocking some LED strips.  From what I can tell, those are cold cathodes behind the marquee.  Why not use more LED strips back there?

Where is this thing going to be located?  Hopefully the middle of a room or perhaps on a rotating platform.

I dig the back door but would have routed it out to look like a space invaders game.  That would have taken forever tho cutting out all the little shapes.  There are so many nice elements here that can be incorporated on a variety of builds.  Way to set the bar high with some wonderful attention to detail.

Wow.  Please tell me you are planning on opening up this thing to show off every part to everyone right?

I don't think I could ever put so much effort into making something that noone ever sees so perfect.

This cab is really turning out great. I love the alien on the front door, and the plexiglass back-door. What I don't like as much is the amount of buttons (I counted 32). Why so many? Keep up the good work!

Thax for your comments...

we could of used a shift button and just had 8 buttons......

but we found that people couldn't find what they wanted to play. with the admin buttons people can see the label and it just makes sense..... anybody can just stand infront and know how to play it.......

before it was "how do i find...... and how do i etc"

good question tho ;) the buttons on the side are pin buttons

I may have missed this in the thread, but what's the purpose of the curved cuts in the t-molding of the left corner of the CP box?

its to allow clearance for the sticks when the lid is closed.
