Hyperspin emulator help
« on: October 10, 2011, 03:45:12 pm »
I have the correct paths but when I try to open a game the emulator - like Fusion for Sega - runs in the task manage but Hyperspin screen stays on the game selected and doesn't go to the emulator.

I tried the emulator on its own and it works perfect...what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Post your settings.ini for the emulator and i'll see if I can help. Also make sure that the emulator is running the same resolution as hyperspin and your desktop.

I switched it to hyperlaunch and now it says it can't find sega genesis.ahk in the modules folder?

How do I get these?

By the way the Hyperspin forum = absolutely no help!

Your totally off base and I'd expect an apology  ???  trolling is when you are beating down a program without base, so I don't get what your issue is?

If you search the Hyperspin forums you'd see that support is lacking on glitches in the program.

Well you do have a sense of humor.
Trolling is when you continually beat somthing down to provoke a response (mission complete) and in this case its the HS forums of which Im part and Im insulted.

Expect no entitlement to anything. You get what you give.
Apology?....Apology?.... Playoffs?....Playoffs?

Quote
I've found the Hyperspin forum a little useless - no real accurate responces and mostly seems like a bunch of guys who think they know too much and you know nothing.
Ive seen no posts from you over there. Whats your username?

A simple question about a glitch is all you need to do.
If its known there maybe work arounds that you just didnt find.
If its not known, there still maybe work arounds.

So since you cant find a fix in the forums after a simple search,
Or you got some info from one condescending user that didnt help you,
then we (the forums) are useless a bunch of know-nothing, know-it-alls?

No denial from you for disrespect, impatience, and bad attitude?
Im going to add ungrateful, see previous post!

Apology? LOL...you first!!

Again try a fresh approach...Im not trying to start a fight!

If you spent as much time resolving the problem as whining...then I wouldn't have to post anymore...  :blah:

I had to admit that the HS forums are becoming somehow the "Ignore that guy""i know too much and you know nothing""Use google""Use the search function (even know you did)" type of forum.Theres still helpfull folks out there but its hard to get them to help you. I wish i can help you, but i only use HS for Mame stuff. good luck.

I'm not tryin to be a d*ck, but I constantly get the brush off with HS...I'm askin a valid question and you get responces that get you no closer to fixing the problem.

Seriously - you think I didn't read the instructions?

If this is such an easy fix - then show me what step I missed in the instructions...if I'm wrong I'll admit it, but if your too lazy to help - don't post!   :applaud:

Obviously Not! the modules link is at the bottom of the first post!

I agree the HS forums arent as friendly as they once were, acknowledged!
It wasnt me!
You have somone that treated you badly, call them out! Dont blanket the whole HS forums as useless and know it alls.
Im also not trying to be a dick.

Now Im whining and lazy? Thats a good way to entice some help.

Whining? Please Who is really the whiner here?...again you obviously still dont get the whole "bees with honey" concept. Im not saying you have to kiss anyones ass just try a different approach. I said this multiple times now.

Too lazy? I did help...The easy fix is download the module from the link I provided...Your welcome!
Now, move on to the next problem and maybe with a new tude I'll help again. Not till then.

Im sorry that people are getting the brush off again its not me and its not the forums as a whole.
Wait... its not me that needs to apologize yet there I did it.

People do have other lives. The forums and the users in it are the support...we all (mostly) try to help each other.
Ive done nothing but try to help others. I dont always get it right and when I dont I learn somthing new. Thats why I like helping.

Again all Im saying is try a different approach you will get much more help. Pm me or whatever.
I wont know everything you ask, will that make me useless?

Im still trying to help if you can figure out the very simple social concept Ive been stating...
Till then call me what you want "whiner", "lazy" whatever...Im done with you.

I've got more important family problems to deal with...and now Im probably useless, whining and lazy!!!

Download Hyperlaunch 2 from its thread.  Under the hyperlaunch 2 download there is a download for modules.   The modules form the ahk files that you require.  Before 2 you had to compile these modules for your install.  Apparently Hyperlaunch 2 does this for you.  I have not tried it as I am still waiting for Hyperspin 2.  I have worked with compiling the ahk files for the previous heperlaunch and it was a bit of a pain.  Hope that helps.

I appreciate the help...Ive downloaded the modules and follow all the instructions, but I must be missing something?

HS triggers the emulator, but only in the background...I'm gonna have to go through all the settings and see what it could be...

nice looking program, but it is really frustrating too

Frustrating yes, but very satisfying when things start clickin and spinnin
There have been many people with similar problems, usually caused from the emulator resolution not being the same as or not close enough to the Hyperspin gui resoultion.
On my cab my screen is 800x600 so I try to set all my emus and pc games the same.
HS resolution can be set in HyperHQ.exe in the HS root directory.
(Try setting both windowed and then fullscreen for HS if windowed doesnt help)

Dare I say:
a search through the forums will bring up alot of hits for this...there will be other solutions that may be more closely related to your exact problem.

I finally got it to work...I did mess with a few things but I think the one that changed it was putting each emulator on Hyperlaunch- except mame.
And then in main settings clicking Full Screen box and then I had 800x600 in the window size box beside the Full Screen check box and when I removed the 800x600 value then my emulators starting working.

Hope it saves anyone some much wasted time.
